Art Updates

I've been revamping the Art Gallery. Added a "New" section where I'm putting my newest artwork for easy finding and viewing. I've also added a "in progress" art section, so you can can what is in the works; and a "Commission Works" section. I plan on gradually integrating the General and Yaoi galleries together because it's just making things harder to find keeping them separate and most of my 'yaoi' work isn't explicit anyway.

Oh, I've finally uploaded the little bit of manga I have for "Price of Truth". I was reluctant to sooner because I think it still needs work. Toning isn't my 'thing'. <sigh> If I ever rework my "Fallen" manga (which is complete, just needs an overhaul of the tones and text.) I'll post it too. Might only be a page or two sample if I decide to send it to Tokyopop. (I might put up a few of the textless pages just to give a look.)

I should have more art soon, especially of a boys love/yaoi nature.

But you get the presents with another quick update- I have several new artworks in the galleries. One in the gen gallery under Color Illustration and 2 in the Yaoi gallery in Story/Fallen and Misc. Look for more art soon. I have several nearly finished.

A quick update. I've added Prints to My Store, which are self-produced as opposed to through deviantArt. Each print is hand-signed by me. I'm in the process of tweaking my galleries to accommodate this new feature. Also, I'm considering offering prints with my commissions. If there's any other items you would like to see offered (and I am capable of providing) feel free to give me input.

I have a few art pieces in the works which should be ready for posting soon.

First, I hate to bring this up, but I'm  really desperate for some help. I need about $300 by the first week of May. I've started offering commissions, but so far I've had few (one) requests. Since I'm an artist, I'm trying everything I can to earn the money through my art, but I don't know what else I can do in that regard. This past month has reminded me of how much I love creating art and aside from the money stress, has been one of the best times of my life. It's like I found my place, finally, and I'd like to stick to it. But it's just going to take more time than I have to make it financially viable.

So, if you like my work, if you know of anyone who would be interested in commissioning me for art, or if you could just spread the word, or know what I can do more than I already have, anything, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

Anyway, It's been a busy month. The site's almost at full-function. The art galleries are updated, and while not restored to their former state, much of that is me being more selective on what to put up. Although expect more, new art to come. I've been a busy art bee. :)

Commissions are fully set up. I even have the request process nicely automated.

I've also joined deviantArt and the y!Gallery, (and some other galleries) so you can see some of my work there.

Sorry, there's no fiction updates this time. I haven't had the time to spare on writing. When I do, there's several stories on my 'to do' list.

3/17/07:

  It's back! After much frustration, the website is back and running -- although not everything from the old site has been restored. Fortunecity, my old webhost, decided to delete my account, citing "Pornographic content", which I think is rather silly since there's more "porn" on Network television than was on my site. But regardless, the old site is gone, gone, gone and I'm having to rebuild it from scratch, which is a bit depressing.

So officially The Realm is still under construction and as of yet I'm unsure of all that I'll carry over. All the fiction has been restored for now. My gallery has been revamped, and is/will be showing new content. I've also added new areas, like commissions/ merchandise for those interested in purchasing my artwork and commissioning me for art; and Manga, for samples of one of the many projects I had been working on and one of the reasons I had "disappeared".

I hope to return to writing in the near future, I have many ideas for both stories and art. I may even add a Sims 2 custom content section eventually. But making a living is priority at the moment and it's hard-going. I'm trying to go freelance with my art as well as producing original artwork and merchandising it. Any help, contacts, whatever, is greatly appreciated.
